POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Program Specialist to join our team of professionals.
Duties include:
- Assists in creating, editing, and maintaining of clerkship syllabi.
- Assists in sending and receiving clerkship, faculty, and student evaluation(s).
- Assists in tracking student attendance across affiliated hospitals or clinics.
- Assists in organizing and uploading documents in the system used by the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (HWCOM).
- Assists in scheduling students' clerkships and/or rotations.
- Updates a list of required and recommended textbooks or resources.
- Assists in planning for the successive calendar years.
- Participates in the preparation of Liaison Committee for Medical Education (LCME) accreditation materials.
- Schedules and coordinates meetings for faculty and clerkship directors with administration and affiliated hospitals or clinics.
- Confirms and updates the list of clinical faculty for each clerkship.
- Interacts with and assist students and faculty to find university information and comply with university policies and procedures.
- Assists Clerkship Coordinators in the preparation of materials for their clerkships e.g. copying, printing syllabi, collating documents.
- Performs related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED and six (6) years of office or related experience coordinating functions of an office or department.
