Community Academic Coordinator – Social Work
The George Mason University Department of Social Work is seeking applications for the position of Community Academic Coordinator. This position is a part-time position (up to 29 hours per week). Responsibilities include a variety of educational and administrative services for BSW, MSW, and field education programs.

Responsibilities include:
- Training and support of field education instructors, liaisons, and students;
- Support of community development and engagement of partners, alumni, and prospective students via online platforms and continuing education efforts;
- Assistance with orientation programming for students, faculty, and practicum representatives; and
- Complete programmatic and curricular tasks assigned by the Field Education Director.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Social Work or related field; and
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
Special Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Must have professional attitude, excellent organization and communication skills, mature outlook, and be self-motivated;
- Must be able to independently complete tasks, be detail-oriented, and able to multi-task; and
- Excellent organizational and time management skills including being highly organized and detail oriented.
