Opportunity: The Data Management & Analytics team at Kent State University is looking for a Sr Data Analyst to join our team to help us with some exciting data adventures! This position supports the analytics and data visualization efforts of the University, including report writing, dashboard development, data organization, and system administration for cross functional teams. Our team is also working with others in the division of Information Technology to build a data pipeline to enable a consistent, governed way to provide data for application and system integrations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field of study. Four years progressive experience in the following:

• Working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum two years of experience utilizing reporting and dashboard technologies such as Microsoft Power BI, IBM Cognos, or Tableau.
• Industry experience in Higher Education, including Ellucian Banner ERP.
