Job Title: In-Home but prefer Live-In Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Personal Care Aides.
Job Summary: Helps 2 elderly patients by supporting personal hygiene and daily living needs; providing comfort, transportation, and vital sign monitoring. The Live-In candidate will be provided basic room and board. Applicant must provide drug test and back ground check.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide general attention to the non-medical needs of clients following an established Plan of Care. Remain in the client's presence or vicinity at all times during shift. Run errands for client. Provide homemaking services, such as light housekeeping, laundry, meal planning and preparation. Help with activities of daily living, including supervising, feeding, and dressing the client. Provides patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, back rubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths. Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals. Provides adjunct care by administering enemas, douches, non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz and therapeutic baths; applying restraints. Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight Turn or re position patients who are bedridden Lift patients into beds, wheelchairs, exam tables, etc. Clean and sanitize patient areas.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (Required) Medical Assistant, or Personal Care Aides training CPR Certification must be within 2 years (Required) Vehicle with Valid form of Insurance Valid Driver's License Understand the benefits of CPR and First Aid Multi-Tasking Bedside Manner Elderly Care.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
This job often requires great physical strength, as Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant or Personal Care Aides will be lifting, walking and standing for most of their shifts as they attend to patients. Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant or Personal Care Aides should have the ability to lift at least 100 pounds frequently. Require knowledge/ demonstration of proper lifting techniques.
