Executive Director
The Board of Directors of the Middle Georgia Consortium, Inc., a non-profit agency which operates under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), is looking for an Executive Director to manage the overall goals and objectives of the entire agency by supervising the department directors, planning agency goals, developing strategies and approving recommendations made by department directors. Duties also include the management of the agency budget and approval of agency expenditures as well as preparing and approving reports for presentation to the Board of Directors, Workforce Development Board, Local Elected Officials and the general public. Employee also acts as the spokesperson for the agency.
This position is appointed by the Board of Directors and reports directly to the Board Members. Applicants are advised that as part of the hiring process, candidates that are offered employment may be required to submit to a criminal background history and motor vehicle report. Requirements: Graduate degree in public or business administration or related field with 3-5 years executive management experience with a public agency or human resource management firm; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Experience in counseling or administering counseling or job training programs is preferred.
