Mineral Processing Research Scientist/Engineer
Thiele Kaolin Company, a world leader in kaolin production, seeks a Mineral Processing Research Scientist/Engineer for the Research and Development Department, located in Sandersville, Georgia.
This position requires a highly motivated individual working as part of a team dedicated to conducting research work to improve existing processes and products as well as to develop new processes and products. It also requires exploring the application of state of the art minerals processing technology to kaolin and silica sand processing. The successful candidate will be expected to apply the use of technical data and analysis software and other statistical methods to process and product development efforts. This position may also require some travels to company's different plant sites.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Minerals Processing, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- Experience in fine particle processing with particular emphasis in chemistry of industrial minerals processing would be a plus.
