Compensation and Performance Management Consultant
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking applications for a Compensation and Performance Management Consultant for the Human Resources Department. This is a full-time, permanent staff position.
Purpose of the Position: Serve as the lead for EHRA Staff position actions including creating a new position, reviewing position modifications, using benchmark data to set salary ranges, and following all policies regarding compensation and position management. Handle the day-to-day management of the SHRA and EHRA Staff performance management process. Assists with analysis and facilitation of compensation and position management actions for SHRA positions, serving as the backup to the primary SHRA compensation consultant. Serves as an advocate for the University as well as the liaison to UNC System Office.
Salary: $59,849 - $66,499
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and two years of progressively responsible professional human resources management experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.
Essential Job Duties: Serves as the lead EHRA Staff compensation and position management consultant and the backup for SHRA position actions. Reviewing salary requests and researching comparative positions for salary data, reviewing new position requests and classifying them, benchmarking positions, and coordinating with the system office on requests requiring their approval. Collect information on positions via interviews, review of job descriptions, etc. Assist individuals with NinerTalent. Prepare workflows and guidelines on processes. Prepares reports on activities and actions on EHRA staff actions. Manages performance management process for all staff position
Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from a four-year college or university and three years of progressively responsible experience analyzing, interpreting, applying, communicating, and promoting HR best practices in the context of organizational goals and objectives; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.
